Dear Sisters and Brothers,                                                

On behalf of the National Executive, it is with pleasure that I announce UCTE’s 15^th Triennial Convention to be held in Ottawa, Ontario at the Fairmont Château Laurier hotel from September 25 to 28, 2011.

Enclosed you will find your 2011 Convention Call that includes details such as submitting resolutions to convention, different ways that members can participate and important dates to remember.   I encourage you to refer to UCTE By-Law 9 that governs all our triennial conventions.

The theme for this convention is Our Strength Our Members.  It reminds us all that the core of everything we are about is the membership.  Our Members are the ones who fight in the workplace for fairness and equity.  Our Members are the ones who have never failed to support their communities.  Our Members are the ones who lead the way to promote social justice.  Most importantly, our Members are the ones who work to help keep Canadians safe.
